Double Duty Boots for Comfort and Protection
For a paramedic, the majority of your shift is spent wearing station gear. Having the right boot will make for happier feet and a happier work life. Not only do you need footwear that will keep you comfortable, but you need to have a pair of boots that will keep you protected from the many safety hazards you can encounter out on a call. HAIX Airpower R1 does double duty by offering all day comfort and all day protection. It's NFPA certified for station and EMS making it an ideal dual purpose boot.
Arch Support and Laced in Zipper System
The Airpower R1 is made with built in support for the arch which is the area that often takes the brunt of the pressure after prolonged periods of standing. The cushioned insole enhances this even more by making your feet feel comfortable, preventing foot pain and possible foot problems in the future. And with an anatomically correct steel toe, your toes get enough movement without getting pinched or cramped.
For a more personal fit, the laced in zipper system lets you adjust the lacing allowing you to easily put the boot on and take it off whenever needed. Because on the job, seconds matter.
European Leather for Maximum Durability
The Airpower R1 is made of European leather assuring long lasting durability in your boots. The specially developed rubber sole helps keep the boots slip resistant, heat resistant, and oil and fuel resistant. And with the embedded steel puncture plate, your feet are protected from potential puncture hazards. Offering the best puncture protection on the market, it’s so than and comfortable you won't even know it's there.
Quick Drying Insoles and Extreme Slip Resistance
The HAIX Airpower R1 soles can grip well and resist slippage when exposed to water and oil. Whether you're on duty running on hardwood, tile, or linoleum flooring, your boots are guaranteed to grab hold.
The perfect fit insoles are made from extremely absorbent material with quick drying capabilities. Once they're washed, just hang them overnight and they'll be ready to wear the next day.
Waterproof and CROSSTECH® Protected
In addition to being waterproof and breathable, the HAIX Airpower R1 is also resistant to chemical and bloodborne pathogens. So it doesn't matter whether you're on emergency EMS call or medical duty, the HAIX Airpower R1 is guaranteed to protect your feet from water and even dangerous liquid substances. Outstanding station boot!!!
I've been a full-time fireman for 14 years and finding a comfortable boot can be difficult. I'd like to say that having now purchased my second pair, it's nice to have a truly comfortable boot that I can count on for day to day FD duties. They fit great, go on easy, come off easy, and the zipper never slides down. They're not great for brush fires, and they can get a little warm for the guy with hot feet but generally a great boot. Thanks Haix.....
Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on the Airpower R1, FS. We are very happy to hear that you found a boot that is comfortable on the job and that it is easy to get off and on. As far as your feet getting hot, try wearing wool blend socks instead of cotton. This should help your feet stay cooler in the conditions. We appreciate your comments and hope you'll continue to be a loyal HAIX customer.
I have had a pair of these boots going on 7 years now. It's time to replace them due to being bow legged and wearing out the heels on the outside. Saving for another pair. Use them for Fire, EMS and in my business.
Thank you for taking the time to review the Airpower R1, FS. We are happy to hear that they have served you well over the last seven years for all three of your jobs. We appreciate your loyalty to HAIX. Stay safe out there!
I have had these boots for 6 years and am just now getting a new pair. The laces have become frayed and torn and the toe cap has started to separate from the edges but cant complain after 6 years of 60 hour weeks in Fire and EMS. Very comfortable and durable. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone in the field.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are happy to hear that the Airpower R1, FS have served you well for so many years. We appreciate your loyalty and recommendations. Stay safe out there!
I have had my boots since 2012 the held up. I still wear them. Getting ready to order another pair. the only thing gone bad was the zipper pull falling off and a little separation of the boot from the sole. fixed that though with some adhesive. I recommend HAIX boots to anybody that I know looking to buy boots

This is my second pair of these boots, absolutely LOVE them. They feel like I am wearing tennis shoes, very comfortable. Durability is second to none.
Best boots hands down
I got these boots after tireless hours of research. My Bates and Belleville boots we're getting to the point they were hurting my feet and my ankles and hips constantly. I also needed a boot that would keep my feet dry during the heaviest of downpours. I now have 3 Pairs of Haix boots and will never put another brand on my feet. The craftsmanship and construction is superb which shows great pride in their company name. And I am 100% proud to wear them on duty every day. Thank you HAIX.

This is my second pair of boots my first pair lasted me 6 six years. Hope to get another 6 thank you for good boots woo hoo
Best working boot ever
I have two pair of this model and switch them out for better durability. They are excellent for daily wear as well as a great jump boot for parachuting. As a diver, I find them perfect for quick on/off at site and where water is often present. I have tried many other brands over the years, including my old standard, the Corcoran Jump boots. None better than Haix. I recently sent a pair to a Michelin Chef friend because his feet were bothering him with 18 hours a day in the kitchen. He is delighted with these boots.
That's great to hear! We're happy to hear that they are working out so well for you. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback Col. Stives.
I bought these bootsafter hearing a few friends talk about them. I had a serious case of plantar fasciitis and after a few weeks, these boots all but alleviated the pain. Not to mention they lasted me 3 years before they needed to be replaced. And thats only because I wore the heel down at an ankle. But 3 years, and as a fulltime fire fighter, a part time firefighter andpart time EMS. Unbelievable. Saving up a bit of "extra cash" to buy a new pair now.
These boots are amazing, I wear my boots all day long and have been putting them through there paces in the last year or so. I bought these after my last pair of station boots were starting to break down after a few months. I wear these boots around the station and on medical calls and I was interested in seeing how well they would preform on the wildland fire scene. Well this year they have been on lots of Oregon's wild fires and have been nothing but outstanding. I love these boots and so does my body, if I don't wear my boots for several days my feet start to ache and my back starts to hurt, as soon as I put my work boots back on all of those problems go away. I highly recommend these boots to anyone who wears their boots as much as I do.
