I was going to wait a full month before reviewing these but am only about 2 weeks into wearing them everyday for at least 14 hours on mixed terrain(dirt, concrete etc..). I did buy these at a large discount for being factory 2nds. From all I can tell, it looks to be a small dimple in both soles in the back from a mold. Upon opening the box up and first try I thought these might not work because of the very stiff protective tounge. After playing with the dual lacing zone and getting just the right tightness for lower and upper I was really surprised in the overall comfort of these boots. I was actually blown away because they felt like good slippers (they really are that comfortable ). The amount of support they have is top notch. The sole is super grippy in slimy mud. They are really warm in super cold and pretty cool in the warm. I have plantar fasciitis in my left heal and these boots actually don't have it act up like my other boots. This next part sounds made up but I swear these things put a smile on my face when putting them on. Last but not least, I need to thank Dominique Serio in customer service who got back to me about a billing issue and handled it lightning fast. Based on the overall comfort and the amazing customer service, you've earned a customer for life. I'll be buying a 2nd pair next payday.
We really appreciate you taking the time to review the Protector Volt, FS. We are very happy to hear that you found these boots to be comfortable after you adjusted the lacing to get a custom fit. The fact that you compared them to slippers is even more impressive and that these boots put a smile on your face. That is how we want our customers to feel. It was also good that the sole grips on different terrains and that they keep your feet warm in the cold and cool in warm weather. I will be sure to let Dominique know that you praised his top-notch customer service. Thank you for your loyalty to the HAIX brand and for your service.
Very good quality boot .I bought two pairs.

Sturdy, burly, comfortable
Great boots overall they are sturdy and very rugged. They are about the same weight as my Chippewa loggers but feel much more stable. Just wish this boot had a met guard then it would cover all the bases. Only issue I have is I wish the heel was a little more cupped to prevent heel slip.
We appreciate your feedback on the Protector Volt, FS. Happy to hear that they have served you well for the most part. I will pass your thoughts on the met guard and cupped heel up the chain for consideration.
Great chainsaw boots for in the woods
After getting tired of turned ankles and sloppy fit in my steel-toed loggers, I searched the saw forums for chainsaw boot reviews. Haix was an unfamiliar name, so I figured I would check them out. Given the similarity in looks to Lowa boots, I called for sizing recommendations figuring these would be quite good if they were constructed like Lowa boots, too. I was told to order a half size down, which is spot on with a thinner sock. The quality of the upper is on par with my Scarpa hiking boots that have lasted me 10+ years, and after a somewhat long break in, they fit like a glove. The nitrile rubber sole is durable and absorbs shock well. I'm very impressed with these boots for the money spent.
We appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. We are happy to hear that you have had such a great experience with your Protector Volt boots and hope they continue to serve you well in the future.
