Your questions, our honest answers

With the CROSSTECH inner liner, the Fire Eagle Air does offer protection from liquids, chemicals, and bloodborne pathogens. The boots are tested and certified according to NFPA 1999 standards for biopenetration.

Your Fire Eagle Air boots can be retreaded and refurbished with original manufacturer soles, parts and materials through our Extended Wear program. To freshen your boots, replacement insoles can be purchased online at haixusa.com.

For Fire Eagle Air, HAIX always recommends to follow our NFPA 1851 guidelines for routine and advanced inspection. Our step by step guide is here: haix.com/us/nfpa/. To clean boot, brush away any loose dirt with a stiff boot brush. Wash boots with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Air dry without forced heat. Once dry, polish boots with a silicone based polish. It is not recommended to use a wax base polish as it clogs the breathability of the leather.

The Fire Eagle Air has a carbon composite toe cap which exceeds NFPA and ASTM testing requirements.

Fire Eagle Air measures 14" when measured from the floor to the lowest part of the top line of the boot.

Fire Eagle Air runs about a half size larger than your normal athletic shoe size. The width runs true to size and comes in either a narrow, medium, or wide width.

Highly Recommend
I am in the fire academy and wore these boots right out of the box last weekend for practical training. They are wonderful! My legs felt 10 pounds lighter, my boots didn't fall off of my feet, my feet and ankles felt supported, my feet didn't hurt. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone. As firefighters we carry around enough weight and face enough challenges, our boots do not need to be a struggle.

Love the design, durability, and quality materials. I had bought seconds that were too small and had to wait for my size to show up in seconds, but didn't hesitate to purchase once available.

Bought seconds and was totally happy with the quality. Unfortunately they fit different than my 2 other pair of Haix (different models) which are 9XW (a tiny bit snug) and 9.5W (a little more room than I'd like). I ordered 9W and they were way tight so am going to return and obtain 9.5W however they are super comfortable and the support from customer service has been great!!

Overall, I expected a better fit. First, I must say that I bought the factory seconds with small stitching blemishes. There is no issue there. The fit is the issue for me. The left boot has a nice fit; However, the right boot feels completely different. The fit is sloppy with the right heel moving up and down considerably when I walk. The quality just doesn't feel the same. Most people do have one foot that is slightly larger than the other, I get that, but my right foot has always been a tighter fit. I have only had the boots about a week, but I have significant concerns about heel blisters from the right boot when I work a scene for an extended period of time. Other brands I have used had a better initial feel. Even for the seconds I spent $400 dollars with tax and fees; Hopefully, I didn't waste my money. I will probably look at a different brand or style in the future.

This is my first pair of Haix Structural boots. Definitely recommend going down at least a half size if not a full size. Light weight of these and the comfort is fantastic! I have since been through Structural Fire Control at GPSTC and through several drills and a few fires. I have plantar fasciitis and these boots leave my feet feeling great with no pain after working in them. I will only buy Haix from now on!

Very comfortable! Downside is: in a 9 month span these have been through a 3 month academy and 2 fires and both toe caps/one sole cracked. My feet get soaked in even the smallest puddle, so they're now out of service. Academy can be pretty rough on gear, but if you're going to buy these, don't buy the factory seconds; you'll want to be covered under warranty if they wear out prematurely.

Great Boots

I purchased a pair of these Haix Fire Eagle Air boots for wearing on the ship I work on. I know they are designed as turnout gear, but I probably do more on my feet working 12 hour days than the average turnout gear wearer does. I was pleased with the light weight yet robust construction of the boots. I accessed the online chat to make sure I got the sizing correct. I also purchased a pair of factory seconds since they had my size available in the model I was considering. Between that and the discount code Haix offered I got them for under $250. The ankle support seems pretty impressive. I like the toe caps as well; on a ship we tend to knock the toes of our boots alot, and uncovered toes generally wear out there long before the nonskid decks flatten the tread off. I look forward to much hard wear, and will consider the purchase of another pair when the time comes to replace these. So far I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and recommend these to anyone considering a new pair of boots.

Great Boots

Got my boots yesterday and as soon as I got into the station this morning we caught a car fire. We were on scene for about 30 minutes and I swear they were some of the most comfortable foot wear I have ever had on my feet. I am super pleased with how they feel and even more so about the price I paid. I will definitely be buying more in the future and I highly recommend these boots to everyone.

EXCELLENT BOOT - HAIX Fire Eagle Air

I have owned HAIX structural boots as well as patrol boots in the past. HAIX, without a doubt, pays close attention to detail in their product. Their boots are extremely comfortable and hold up very well to harsh conditions. If you are unsure about the fit, click on the chat option, and ask a representative. I wear a 12 in tennis shoe, the representative suggested an 11.5. It fits absolutely perfect. The employees know their products. That's says a lot!

Haix Fire Eagle Air - A+

I have been a professional fire fighter for the last 17 years and always wore the department issued rubber structural fire fighting boots, I was missing out. I was turned on to Haix by a fellow fire fighter and boy am I glad, best purchase by far. They wear like tennis shoes and are comfortable for hours. You will need to go down a size from what you normally wear, I normally wear a 11 but opted for the 10.5 and they fit great (once broke in). A+ equipment, I would recommend them.
