HAIX safety shoes are made in Europe from bullhide leather with stitched construction for durability. Waterproof models use a GORE-TEX membrane that blocks water and still breathes. Steel toe safety shoes use a metal cap to meet ASTM impact and compression ratings. Composite toe safety shoes use carbon fiber to meet the same standard without metal. Composite is the better choice if you pass through metal detectors or work in extreme temperatures, because HAIX injects the sole with foam insulation that keeps heat and cold from reaching your foot.
