Safety for Any Situation
HAIX makes safety shoes for almost any hazard. Here are the main types and who they fit.
Oil and Slip Resistant Safety Shoes
Oil resistant safety boots hold their grip on slick floors. They work well in oilfields, mechanical shops, industrial plants and any job that deals with grease or standing water. The outsoles keep traction where other soles slide. See the full range of slip resistant shoes.
Steel Toe and Composite Toe Protection
For anyone working around heavy loads, our steel toe work boots and composite toe work boots guard against falling objects and compression. Steel toe caps use a metal cap to meet ASTM ratings. Composite toe caps use carbon fiber to meet the same standard with no metal, which helps at security checkpoints and in extreme temperatures. Both work in construction, logging and warehouse settings, and many double as police boots for duty use.
Electrical Hazard and Specialty Safety Footwear
Our electrical hazard boots reduce the risk of shock around live circuits. Need something lighter for indoor work? Casual safety shoes give you toe protection without the bulk. Whatever the setting, HAIX has a safety shoe made for it.
Fighting fire instead? See our dedicated firefighter boots, built to protect against heat while keeping your feet dry.
Built with HAIX Materials and Construction
HAIX safety shoes are made in Europe from bullhide leather with stitched construction for durability. Waterproof models use a GORE-TEX membrane that blocks water and still breathes. The sole is injected with foam insulation, so heat and cold do not travel to your foot. Many outsoles use Vibram rubber for grip and long wear. Learn more about our HAIX boot technologies.
Safety Shoe FAQs
What is the difference between steel toe and composite toe safety shoes?
Steel toe safety shoes use a metal cap to meet ASTM impact and compression ratings. Composite toe safety shoes use carbon fiber to meet the same standard without metal. Composite is the better choice if you pass through metal detectors or work in extreme temperatures, because HAIX injects the sole with foam insulation that keeps heat and cold from reaching your foot.
Are HAIX safety shoes waterproof?
Many HAIX models include a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane that keeps feet dry in rain, mud and standing water while staying breathable. Check the product page to confirm which models are waterproof.
What are HAIX safety shoes made of?
HAIX safety shoes use bullhide leather uppers with stitched construction, GORE-TEX lining on waterproof models, and slip and oil resistant outsoles. This build holds up to daily wear on hard, wet and greasy surfaces.
Do HAIX safety shoes meet ASTM standards?
Yes. HAIX safety toe shoes meet ASTM F2413 for impact and compression. Select models add electrical hazard and puncture resistant protection. Check each product page for its full rating.
Do HAIX safety shoes come in women's sizes?
Yes. Select models, including the Airpower XR2, Airpower XR1 Pro and Black Eagle Safety 55, come in women's sizing. For fit guidance, visit the product page and hover over "What Size Should I Order?".
