Lately I have been running bigger saws with skip tooth chains on slopes and I thought it was time to take my PPE to the next level. The boots definitely run about a half size large, but I just wore 2 socks which was more comfortable anyway. Great ankle protection. Comfortable enough to wear all day working. A little pricey, but what are your feet worth.

BUT... When I had a set that were the correct size, they are a very comfortable boot, good sole and a reenforced toe is a plus, I find the tread overly aggressive but wearing them will help with that. All in all with the first few weeks, they are great, will update everyone on my boot Scootin next may

Absolutely the Best Boots ever for the industry!
These are the best forestry boots I have ever had! I am on my second pair with the first still as good as new! The second pair came up on sale so I went for them! Very comfortable. Have worn them in 90 degrees and below Zero. Boots are our foundation and these are the best I have ever had!

Great Boots!
As an arborist for almost 30 years I have always worn generic "Work Boots" and thought I would give these a try. What a great pair of boots for climbing with & without spurs! I will say that I will only give them an 8 for working on the ground as the sole is quite rigid (that is what makes them great for spurs). I will definitely buy them again.

Nice boots
Ordered online and the fitting suggestions worked perfectly. Boots are comfortable on my wide feet. Have to admit I was a bit surprised by the weight at first but quickly adjusted to them. Make me a lot more comfortable cutting up tree service wood working near my feet all day

Rugged boots
If you like to put your boots on in the morning and not think about them again until you peal them off that night, these are the boots for you. Summer, winter, rain, snow, hot, cold, somehow they are always comfortable. I got three years out of my last pair, which is twice as long as any other boot I’ve had in 29 years in the woods, and my feet were happier than they have ever been. I’m sticking with Haix.

The best
I have used plenty of other arborist specific boots and was never a fan of how heavy and stiff the ankle was so i started using a different boot for everyday production tree work and climbing. They were more of a hiker style boot (not naming the brand) and they worked fine but protection was minimal which was a concern. Long story short a log of wood tagged me on the ankle and broke it… I regretted not having these boots, so i ordered a set right away. When walking in othe boots i was having issues with my ankle ligaments thru the recovery process getting swollen do to lack of support walking on uneven ground doing inspections so i started whereing my haix protector ultras i ordered for production and i have had a much faster recovery since because of the added support. I highly suggest giving these a chance. Im on my second set!

Ultra protector
These boots are by far the best boots I have ever put on my feet I have 10 years in the arborist trade and can honestly say that hands down they are the most comfortable, water proof, supportive boot I have ever worn.

Best boots ever
I bought a pair of these in November of '21 and have worn them since. I work in oil and gas, not forestry, but the quality and durability are unbeatable. I've worn them for 60+ hours a week every week. They have been exposed to (and drenched in) oil, diesel, salt water, and various chemicals. They still look good and are just now starting to edge towards worn out. I can wear out most brands of boots in 3-6 months, so the fact that these are still going 16 months later means that I am saving money on boots. As a side note, I also use these for riding. I have an ancient Enduro with a kick start that is cantankerous at best and murderous at worst. The construction of these boots keep the kick start from breaking my ankle when it kicks back, but are flexible enough for shifting and maneuvering.

Sawyers use.....
I was deployed in Florida after Hurricane Ian and on day 3 my right boot started to fall apart, Cement glue and gorilla tape kept me going and 3 days later the other boot started to go and fixed it the same way. I saw the boots my team lead had and asked him about them. He gave me a review that sent me to the website and purchased a pair. I just finished another week in Florida and this time with my new work boots! They are fantastic! Comfortable, protective, waterproof and laces I never have to adjust during the day. I am extremely pleased with these boots! And, should I say comfortable also. I am a size 9.5 M and always have been. Thats what I ordered and they fit perfectly. I am a happy sawyer with one less thing to concern myself when I work>

Best work boot
This was my second purchase and I love these boots will be getting more in the future

Durable and comfortable
I have worn these boots for 2 wildfire seasons and they have met that challenge no problem. They are extremely durable, especially considering how little I take care of them. I have never gotten blisters which is testament to how comfortable and we'll fitting they are. They can be a pain to dry out if you do get them wet, but if you have access to a boot dryer it's no issue. Overall, if you need to invest in a solid chainsaw boot I would recommend these to anyone.

Mountaineering boot for construcriin
I have worked forestry for over 10 years and now in rock scaling for 2 years. When i switched over to climbing rock faces but in a construction setting i was hoping scarpa or something similar would have hard toe. I could not understand why all hard toe boots were heavy, chunky and cheap (money and build). I love to save money but i choose quality, customer service and longevity over saving a couple bucks anyday. Luckily two other guys on my crew tried Haix and i heard about the spot on customer service and quality of the boot. (It also allowed me to try on a broken in shoe and find a good fit, which is the hardest part of buying online). I am between a 10-11 usually and went for 9.5. The fit is is spacious without my foot flopping around. I dont even have to synch them down super tight (although the locking lace pieces are genius). So far waterproof and stupid easy to clean. Every week when they are dry i give them a brush and the dirt is gone. Have not had to do a soapy water bath yet. My only downside right now is that the toes are a bit narrow to the rest of the foot. I wear barefoot style shoes normally so it has been a bit of a break in to get used to, not the shoes but my feet. I dont know if the wide version would alleviate this or not. I have worn them 10 hour days x 6 days a week x 2 weeks so im hoping it will settle in. Even with that i am loving these shoes and would still purchase knowing all this.

Pretty Boots
I have wanted cut proof boots for along time after a couple of heart attacks I am on blood thinners so getting cut with a chainsaw isn't an option for me. I am very PPE conscious when cutting, chaps, hardhat with mesh face shield, safety glasses and now boots. They look great and feel great. Comfortable to wear. I have cut with them 3 times all in rain and a little mud and my feet have stayed warm and dry. They fit so well that I can't see myself not cutting without them. Very well made and comfortable boots.

Nice
Wow I finally got to use them and was amazed thought I would be uncomfortable for a day or two but after the first few minutes I forgot I was wearing new boots. Still not comfortable yet and worry not as tough as described

Love these boots
The boots take a while to break in a hurt my feet but once they got broke in they are the most comfortable boots I’ve bought I work for a line clearance tree trimming company and we’re in every terrain you can think of and my feet stay dry in the swamps and warm in the snow. And for climbing trees with spurs it’s night and day over any traditional logger boots

Great Boot
The boot is great. Love how it has the two lace system. Allows me to keep the bottom tight and adjust the calf as needed. Very comfortable once you break them in. And you can't beat the safety.

High quality real world protective gear.
These boots are incredibly comfortable. I used to have all kinds of foot problems, and after wearing these boots they where almost all eliminated. I have fallen, despite being tied off, landed on my feet and doctors said they figured what saved my feet and body, In Part, was due to such high quality foot wear. During that same fall my boot was cut repeatedly, by a spinning arborist saw. Zero damage to me, and just heavy scratches on outside. Direct blade contact, didn't get past 2nd layer. All the best! Thanks Haix!

Color!

Fantastic product
I bought the Ultra Protector for my husband for Christmas and gave them to him early because he is starting a tree service business. He enjoys climbing trees, but has bad ankles and these boots help with bracing up his ankles. The boots are amazing and a great purchase! We will be repeat customers.

Life saver
Last winter I snapped a bone in my foot and required surgery. A staple was set into my medial cuneiform bone which is a massive joint bone located on the inside of the foot, exactly where my tree spike sits. It's been almost a year and the injury still effects me everyday but buying there's boots have been a sort of saving grace as now I can finally spike the tree normally again. I think if I had the boots all along I may have been able to avoid the injury altogether. The boots are with every penny. Will buy again.

Well made but run large
Can't give a fair review because haven't worn these boots in the field. I ordered my normal boot size, which also happened to be the size the website sizing chart recommended. Unfortunately boots are at LEAST a full size, maybe a size and a half too big. I hate returning things but they are unwearable. If they were cheaper boots I might have stuck with it and cut my losses. Will have to wait for the refund and then order a smaller size. Also the wide is not really wide. These aren't going to be be the dream tree boot for people with wide feet. The toe box is still narrow and quite tapered. The width of the tread on the sole is also surprisingly narrow (Not that that effects comfort). Boots appear very well made, as one would hope for a 400 dollar boot. I just wish more retailers sold haix to avoid the sizing issue.

These boots are amazing
I am a code compliance inspector and and I manage a vegetation management program for a municipality. I coordinate the program with inspections and manage a brush removal contractor. I injured my ankle and the height of the boot/ankle/lower leg protection design attracted me. They performed amazingly well. I hike trough chest high brush where I cannot see the ground surface. I have stepped in ruts and on rocks the would have defiantly injured my formerly injured ankle, and I can feel the boot absorbing the impacts. The boot is the right amount of stiffness and flexibility. The form of the boot and tread allows my feet to grip on steep hillsides with loose dirt and rock. I’ve had instances where only an inch of tread grips a steep slope and I am able to not slide downhill while maintaining grip. These are worth every penny spent.

PULL THE TRIGGER
I've now been wearing these boots for 2 months solid. I use my stuff HARD. Everything I own works for me it gets the can. I've owned and worn Chippewa, Carolina, highliners and my "go to" REDWING for about 15 years. I climb daily, I do ground work daily. I can without question say these boots are the best money I've ever spent on my feet. I have been breaking toe nails off with other boots, it's stopped with these HAIX boots. I was worried because the first few weeks I was soaking sold through and changing them twice a day. Customer relations not only suggested using wool blend but sent me a pair free of charge. If you're on the fence about buying these boots due to price, trust me on this one, pull the trigger.

Great boots for a Horse Logger
just 10 out a 10, ill save you all the vulgar explanative which describe how amazing these boots are. Every single person who has asked asks the same question. Comfortable? Too Warm? Flexable? Too Heavy? I surprise every one of them with my answers. Yes, No, Yes, No I harvest timber with a pair of horses so moving quick is really important, a lot of the time when the wood gets big you wanna be ready to get up and go with the ponies. Haix boots have delivered, I have 10 work days in them and love them. worth every penny. Any CS is great, free return, free shipping, complimentary discount codes to make sure the I wasn't loosing money from the return. CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH. Hope they are as durable as they are comfortable. time will tell.

Protector Ultra Signal Red
Just finished off another day of falling with my new Haix ultra protectors, and my feet feel fabulous. As most people have noticed, the boots were quite stiff when they first showed up. I wore them around town casually for a day and they already were feeling softer. The boots shipped quite quickly (All the way up to Northern Alberta, Canada) and you could tell the quality of the boot right out of the box. Another nice touch was the follow up phone call from Haix to see if the boots made it and what my initial thoughts were. If you read others people comments, there are some small minor things like being a bit on the warm side, but totally manageable. The stiffness, but again, softened up right away. The two zone lacing is a great touch, it took me a bit to get use to 'unlocking' the bottom zone when removing the boots, but the ball bearing lace rollers work great. The sole of the boot holds quite well on wet aspen (which is great as I quite dislike corks). As I was selecting the review rating, I was trying to be really picky but then if I compare the issues to ever going back to my old Stihl rubber boots, these Haix are hands down 100% my choice. Assuming these boots will hold up as well as they look like they will, I am very happy with these boots. It took me three years to pull the trigger and purchase these, and boy I wish I would have sooner. Working in water, feet stayed dry. Working on logs, feet didn't slip. Much lighter then regular steel toes, which is a nice change for me. I was a bit worried about the sizing, but I find they fit much like a Red Wing. I have two pairs of Red Wings both size 9 and these haix size nine are right on the mark. I usually wear a 9.5 running shoe (Vans) but I told by Haix to go down a half size. All in all, these boots are amazing. If you spend lots of time on your feet in uneven terrain, you wont go wrong here.

Just a great boot
Most comfortable pair of boots I have ever bought. Even though not in the Forrester industry these make your feet feel good even on concrete. Will definitely buy again and recommender others.

Fantastic!!
I am a wildland firefighter in Alberta and I have been looking for a solid pair of work boots that are also chainsaw certified. Crew members recommended these boots so I went out on a limb to try it (which was scary cause of the cost), but when I got them they felt amazing! My feet don’t get too hot, the break in time wasn’t very long, and they feel like you’re just wearing a beefy hiking boot! Would definitely recommend these boots to anybody working in the forest! The only thing was that they were a tiny bit big to begin with, but once they were broken in, the laces were able to be tightened more.

Perfect forestry boot
I’m a tree planter and every time I buy steel two work boots I know I’m going to have to buy new ones after a 2.5 month season. These after receiving them I can tell I won’t need to buy new boots for at least 4-5 seasons. Great quality, very comfortable, they’re fairly light, I have an ankle injury and it makes me feel so secure. Happy with my purchase!

Awesome boots
Most comfortable boots I’ve worked in ever. Love these boots well worth the price if they last as long as they say. Perfect for any arborist

Great forestry boot
I'm a climber arborist and this boot is amazing but don't climb in these as the eyelets will break. My eyelet broke the second day I had them but I called Haix and not only did they offer to fix my boots they sent me a second pair of boots! I love these boots and they are the most comfortable boots and they don't leave my feet sore and sweaty after a long day of work. Just remember if you're a tree climber get these for ground work only! I have the arbpro evo 2 for the climb then I slip into the haix for the groundwork. Worth it, haix has my business for sure.
